We have learned that a very special member of our community has passed away. Richard Robichaud (themoonman) has passed away unexpectedly. Richard was a founding member of Neopoet. He had served on many Administrative Councils and was a valuable member of the Neopoet administration. He will be dearly missed. Please visit the forum below if you wish to leave a message.
I knew his health wasn't good but This comes as a real shock to me. He was one of the first to encourage me on my scribbling and also a fellow Carolinian. He will be missed by more than just me
Two losses that are major to our community. First Jess now Richard. You will always be part of our family, we might not be talking on the phone or making plans for the family's future. Still you are always welcome to the table. I miss you brother
So very sad. Richard and I go back to earlier years on Neo. Always the gentleman. Always there when he was needed. Anexcellent poet. He will be sorely missed. Rest with the angels Richard
He will be sorely missed. One of the most encouraging when I first came to the site. He encouraged me to write beyond my comfort zone. We will miss his steady reasoning and his wit. Good-bye Richard...
~ Geezer.

Another adopted Brother, you have journeyed on.
It is another time when our age portrays our future journey's.
We will meet again, and give the kingdom of the universe new words to sing.
They will probably have to open a new Neopoet in the Spirit world.
Damn, Damn, Damn.
We will miss you very much, as Anne said this morning, it is as if another of our family has left us for a while.
Yours as always,
Ian & Anne Howard (UK)
I seldom stop by and what a shock to find this out today. We worked on various forums about 10 years ago and Richard was always the same. Showed an equinimity that spoke of inner strength. Dry sense of humour, great guy. Sympathy to his family as I'm sure he'll be sorely missed.
I've known Richard since 2007. He was one of a handful who read my horrible poetry. Encouraged me to take workshops always was gentle with his critiques. I know how much he loved this place. Rest in peace dear man. :(
He is sleeping where no shadow falls.
In peace he awaits us all.
