I don't suppose any give a crap what my opinion is,but i've decided i'm not giving up on this site , for a while i lost heart , everyone seemed to be leaving, and there didn't seem too many people that had a positive word, to say about the workshops. But with the re-launch on the horizon, i feel that the site is on the verge of a re-birth. Or atleast i hope so.
Some fresh blood, will do us all some good, hopefully to feel inspired enough to post, and critique again.
i'm sure that some will shout me down, for wriing this blog, but i feel ;positive aboiut our future

Hi lou
You might notice I'm still around too lol. Heck I've even become involved with some workshops. Having been involved with running a not for profit company before I'm aware that people seldom say anything unless it's to state they aren't happy about something. Just human nature, I guess. And it Will be good to have new folks around in the near future.......stan
Stan
i noticed , how could i miss you LOL!!

Why would anyone shoot you
Why would anyone shoot you down for having a positive outlook for Neopoet? ....Especially in this world with so much divisiveness.
That would be rather small-minded don't you think? You go, girl!

Stick around, Lou. Look ,my poetry was called ":bat shit." I'm still here
Joe
excuse me!
I said boring as batshit.
Never did I denigrate the quality of your work, only the constant death themes.
Same thing.
Same thing.
I didn't mention it was you. And I SAID your poetry was technically near perfect but lacked a level of human understanding. I sitck by my crtique and honesty. Something I respected n you.
You enrich us with your knowledge .
Good luck to yo u but keep it low keyed,
Let's all try to keep Lou here.
Joe

Lou, I adore you for this post!
You and I have huge similarities in taste and differences of opinion but we work well together and I respect you.
Those who have left are the the losers and those of us that kept the site running will welcome those losers back, because there is no better poetry site on the web.
Lots of love,
Jess
thank you

Good luck to it
Yes lets hope there's some new blood, its not easy to run when anybody can join.
In Norway a Poetry group site doesn't have anything like a workshop, criticism particularly, the poetical people interested in taking part are invited by other poets. We can comment and send in other peoples or our own poems to illustrate a theme. I have said quite a lot on the site, but we are not expected necessarily to comment, if we all did, it would be overwhelming for the chap that runs it single handed in his free time; we get posted poems and birthdays of poets etc every day.
Sometimes a debate starts up, for instance there were those who thought that there was too much mention of God, but that wa caused partly by the July Massacres here in N. a rash of prayer-like poetry was sent in, but as the man running it said, there are ALL sorts taking part in that site. You know my views there!!
Good luck to it becoming something worthy of its cause.
Ann.
