Among The Wren and Blissful Daffodil

Poem Body

Among the wren and blissful daffodil,
lavish crimson clover adorns this hill,
'round the elms, the oaks, and sweet maple trees,
to satisfy the busy honey bees

who come to work with need and keen goodwill
among the wren and blissful daffodil,
while lulling perfume gratifies the air
above this hillside, freely dancing there.

Now, on my walk, I pause to feel the sun
console my bones when daily work is done.
Among the wren and blissful daffodil
cicadas wane, and weary bees lie still.

I contemplate, rest on this fragrant hill
among the wren and blissful daffodil.

I have not been to Wales, but the image sounds beautiful! I tend to daydream about such places and scenery.
Thank you for reading!
