The broken record

Poem Body

The only
lesson
I have learned
is that
everything
was meant
to burn .
Leaving in
it’s ashes
the repeating
Rueful record
that’s
always stuck
on one track.
Puttering
out those
once persistent
fervent feelings .
Which makes you
Yearn for her
in your
arms again.

But love is just
Like a record .
When it’s broken you can never
truly get it back
to what it once was.

I like these lines because they are profoundly true:

But love is just
Like a record .
When it’s broken you can never
truly get it back
to what it once was.

the trust in one who has broken your heart can never be restored completely. there is always the underlying question of: (will he/she do it again?)

You know this summer heat is and sun has not been gentle with my head and bur-hole. No quite the opposite so my head is usually like the oceans tide constantly up and down in pain usually when it gets bad I’m stuck rubbing it as all these thoughts and my head feels like a crippled ferris wheel slowly spinning churning the pain in my head . So I usually stay inside and lay in bed .

Any way sorry for swerving off track . The songs gave me the idea of this poem because both songs are talking about this guy who’s slowly falls out of love with one person and has an affair. But once he realizes his mistake it is to late and even if he could fix his relationship it will never be the same . people are flawed by nature and are bound to break eventually or once in a while .
Sincerely your friend hlm Edward nigma.

for your health. I suffer from migraines, I too have spent lots of time indoors this year, because of pains in the head. Yes, they swell and recede like the tides, and it is all I can do to function at times. To your poem; I can see it and I know that it happens. Thank god that I have not experienced it. A nice piece of work. ~ Geez.

This is an interesting stanza of the poem,
'The only

is that

to burn .'
Thank you for letting the reader knows the results of all lessons we've learnt.
Now I know that every broken heart pain will burn.
