carconigenie

Poem Body

winter and oak
brazier incense
settle bitter flakes
the crown
on the rows
Horses and Hearse
cloaked storm
shoving
yearning

all of this
in dreams
all of this
important

Moments
Kodachromed
chapbook
passage
thumbed
in time
pantomime
evenings
washed by
a blessin of
a moon
Thresholds
room illuminated
whispers
sighs
these ties
wrapped in filaments
symbolic
earned
held in precious
urn

backpages turned
scripts discovered
where was it
flames torch touched
passion scorched
infinities lush world
burned

Lake accepts
snow drinking in
its gentle blossom
offerings to slake
the deep
where in the darkness
Love keeps
promises

in each After
there is the
Here
demure
and sacred

Has an eerie stream of consciousness quality that is really beautiful--reminds me of EE Cummings.

on a property...working
afternoons were free
baked potatos coffee billy style
winter down jacket repaired in duct
tape...
in the concrete square silo with viewing
platform was a perfect echo chamber
for singing...drumming while the sun
stumbled behind the tsunami Looming
escarpment covered in trees
at the fields edge...the creeks emergence
from underground river
a mystical place
candles for light
in isolation the thoughts slow
like days
and longer nights
a land of spirits creeping from
the wood in rain

EE cummings i know of but its been
a long while since I read any
just coming out of personal isolation
theory..
