Down To Earth Man……
Every path every pebble
every minute piece of dust,
we humans say we own it,
though it’s only given to us
in trust.
Intrusted to us by nature
that seems not to know us well.
Will we guard and preserve
it’s beauty, or dig, drill
then sell.
For man everything has a price,
we are rabid in our greed.
Corruption and consumption
is a human vice,
singularly insipid in our breed.
We’ll plunder this planet till it’s death,
indeed we even sell our own.
Man would sell his very last breath,
in truth, it’s maybe already gone.
