Goodbye, my heart

Poem Body

They say, all good things must end
the heavy heart afflicts
why do all good things disappear?
why are you gone?
as I clasp my hands and grieve
why is life so ephemeral?

But I don't want to live
without your feelings
Goodbye, my heart

Geezer

of the mind to ask for a curtain-call. He clasps his breast and vows never to love again. I see the dramatic, black silhouette of a man, against a red/orange sunset. On his knees, head down... Nice image! ~ Geezer.

That’s a good comment man. It’s really spot on.

Sorry to hear you’re grieving. Very glad to see it transmuted in poetry.

I am sorry for your loss and grief but like Tim, am glad to see it in a beautifully touching poem. Well done.
