Grace at time of leaving

Poem Body

For all the wondrous peals of shared, sad, laughter
At the frivolities and serendipities of life.

For all the care and listening given non quid pro quo
On accounts tallied against future interest.

For the quiet calming silences made the more so
By the gentle ssssssssnip of grey white locks.
The hummmmmmed clip of tumbling tresses.

For the knowing without asking.
The questions and answers spoken by our eyes.
For the love of stories told and spirits called.

For these we give thanks.

We must move to the needs of others.
Yet our souls are steady on their path.

We will miss our times together yet know they will return
To bless us both with newness and the sameness as before.

For Nancy: a lover of life. On the occasion of moving on

Favorite Poets: The next one I read. I thoroughly enjoy reading the works of amateur poets. Neruda is my hero but absolutely no one has a better way with words than Shakespeare.

Well written, Nancy is but a thought away, and will still attend your needs as you ask.
A lovely tribute to one so close, this will talk for many as they with this, will remember their own,
