Hidden Hearts (Sylvia Plath)

Poem Body

Standing in the sun.
A hidden nothing
Trapped beneath the sky?

Sister pass the message-
From girl on the wind-
To girl, to flying girl.

To not be caught
When in a free fall.
Pass the message!

Cracked
Felled
A tree gone-

Into the silent night,
My friend pass it.
The good fortune-

Of joining this girl-
In this smooth death.
Understand it now.

An arrow shot off
Into the dark.
Into a heart.

No one is anything.
If you paint over the chips-
Friend, nothings gone bent.

Drip.
Drip your heart.
Life is a two part

Cirus, heathens all around.
