Ice and Soda

Poem Body

I like my drink on the rocks
with fizz of soda bubbling it to life
I keep on stirring to keep it alive
taking one sip at a time to prolong_

The ice kept melting in seconds and minutes
letting me know it's countdown time,
so I charged my drink to keep it rocking
with more of fizz bubbling to the top.

The waiter in the bar asked "One more Sir?"
I declined his offer and commenced to stir
because by now I was held in awe
that I love the fizz more than the drink,
for the way it hit my nostrils.

That night I ended on a high
whistling aloud my favorite song
"give me some sunshine, give me some rain,
give me another chance, because I want to live again"

this is absolutely a lovely way to tell how we are interested in keeping a busy life. The fizzy think.... I really like it.
