Its saturday, its saturday
and minus ten degrees,
the trees stand frozen statues
as there isn't any breeze,
the coldness of the blue
spreads its mood of darkened gloom,
a contrast to the stillness
of the warm air in the room;
the bird that waits on top
of that twiggy weeping tree,
a willow hoping for the sun
the wish of well nigh everyone,
I put away my pillow once again,
to meet this winter's morning without sun,
as I chew my breakfast, finish this poem.

ITS MINUS
Poem Body
About This Poem
Last Few Words: It was in fact -15%C but that didn't fit the rhyme. Swung to -1%C the next day, disconcerting for the body!

Lovely
Tempo on the last lines a bit like tempo on mine
very nice cold we all love it at times ..when inside rooms
don't you have fully warmed up villas
as we do have in Canada and USA
of course half of one's salary burns away
that's the only way to warm stay
minus 37 degrees if you may

We wake up to about + 13-16%C
We wake up to about + 13-16%C indoors, we don't like sleeping in heat, warm feather downies; then we cut off the airing supply and it climbs a little, but not much, we just wear warm clothes, its a much nicer atmosphere to function in.
When we visit E's relatives, we almost have to put on our bikinis! I have to peel off the layers, and we soon get drowsy like being drugged; much more uncomfortable. I shall see what it is now,13%C by the window, 17%C by the inner door.
Yes Canada is colder. And yes most Norwegians like it hot indoors, no flowers survive and several of the Christmas trees, all thrown out at the back of the building, have not one needle left on, and have become brown and wizened, some are still green.
Thank you for your comments. Love Ann.
