Your sister is beautiful
smart
talented
your brother is educated in his field
handsome
and you my dear child
why you will make someone a good housewife one day
Say what now! a good what ?
years passed by she became a published author ,
why that is a nice hobby dear
ran her own business
why that is nice
and where is my beautiful sister
retired and happy she had her success and now lives quietly
my brother
well he was a mechanical draftsman but has since passed on
so I guess he is at peace
and the girl
well the rest is history folks
jealousy, envy anger
have no place in her life
any longer

I had to read...
a couple of times to make sense of the part where she ran her own business, because it was out of sequence, but once I got where the "beautiful one" was, then I got it. Yup, coming to terms with expectations. Jealousy is a hard topic. Good job. ~ Geez.

thank you it was written in retrospect through the eyes of the one that was told they would be the housewife and no not the mother but the father
and this is a true story but yes there was jealousy ,hurt and anger as good was never good enough no matter what they did
