Lying amongst mournful mounds

Poem Body

I lonesomely lay
amongst the
mournful mounds
of mud and clay.
Ghastly growing
grim and grey
Inattentively
tumbling down
towards tears .
But too crushed
to crack and cry
away my
fervid flood of
selfless fears.

My inspiration

I put myself in my writing usually my thoughts and feelings.
Like the line my fervid flood of selfless fears now what I mean by selfless is that I’m afraid to stay and watch everyone slowly fade away leaving me alone with only company I endure being the empty essence of open air.

Geezer

that I can only endure, not of which I crave. I understand that perfectly! Sometimes, we cannot escape the company that just means we are not alone. Very well written. ~ Geez.
