Poem Body
I can only hope
the first song ever sung
was a happy one
joy, wonder,
startling beauty,
and simplicity
not unlike the brillant
cave paintings of Lascaux
the Blues would soon follow
I assume
stands to reason
man is many dimensional
but immediate feelings are prime
hence, the blues
"every day, I've got the blues"
a simple statement
yet, true, I believe
to virtually all
since sentience arose
music seems to help
therefore, I deduce
...I DECLARE
music is to be forever

Ah! the blues, and as you
Ah! the blues, and as you infer in your lyric, a reasonable progression from the first song that may have been joyous. Blues have their own beauty, and we are fortunate indeed to experience them, for I believe they come from a joyous place that is sometimes void of joy.

If music be the food of life "Play On" I am sure it's been said before but the music of this piece needs to be read by more (not Henry),

If there is any "music" in
If there is any "music" in this piece, it is surely, by now, a "golden oldie", or a "moldy goldy"
This was my first poem posted after "the great crash of '09 (or was it" '10?)...so long ago
its hard to remember.
thanks for leading (reading) it out of the tombs!
p.s.of course Henry can read it, if he's not illiterate

The cave paintings in France are some of the best in the world they need a poem of their own maybe we can see about that one day,
