New Space

Poem Body

I am slowly but steadily carving
A cache to hold my tender heart
Protect it from the world at large
From the rank and file I must depart

It’s hard to flee when hurt hits home
Others clutter up your thoughts
Threatening to tear the fabric
Of the the peace so dearly bought

It’s not my nature to ignore
Pandora’s box now open wide
Entangled I must watch the ghosts
Demons that were hid inside

Out they come, the wards don’t hold
Salt in corners falling shy
Burning sage still smoldering
Leaves me reeling, asking why

I must leave or exorcise
Spirits mean and malevolent
With my strength and stamina drained
I’ll need to find new space to rent

I love that line! Energy shift is a powerful thing! You have captivated all the self reflection and emotion that goes into it! Well done.

the change in your work. I see that you are making a shift. Good for you, that is the way to do. Do what is good for you, when it is good to do it. Your energy will carry you through, you will be alright. ~ Geez.

Hi, Tim,
Life is transient, hopefully always evolving toward the positive. I love that final last line, too.
