The Royal Rush [Limerick]

Poem Body

The Queen had a touch of Flu
the King fed her a spicy stew
she turned bloody red
jumped out of her bed
then rushed to the palatial loo

This is what a limerick should be, humouros to fit the jaunty beat. I have seen elsewhere that limericks can be serious. Seriously? Let topic dictate rhythm and nowhere can my mind connect a solemn subject matter with a happy beat.

great fun indeed. I am not sure if you can post two submission. Why don't you choose the one you're more happy with?
