I liked it! A haiku is supposed to be about nature. This one would qualify as a senryu which has the same syllable requirements a haiku has, but is about human nature.

I used to get my son to say "Hello daddy pineapple, warthog head Newman". Cos it cracked me up every time he said it . Ha ha

They can be so funny!!

Thanks for taking the time to read and comment.

How often they make us laugh ... I knew a little girl who couldn't sound her C's. "Daddy tan I have a tuddle"! Sooo cute.

Those days fly past - but we keep the memories and smile.

Thank you for sharing your little gems.

Made me laugh! Lolly - seems a good name for someone so sweet! BABA. He he and Shitley!! ha ha!!

What is so good is that it's all said in innocence and comes out spontaneously - precious moments.

Thanx for reading and commenting, sweet Lolly!!

My daughter who started talking when she was 8 or 9 months old said her mommy liked foffee, her friend had a wheeawheea (VW), she liked spusghetti and she loved her aminals. (she argued it was aminals until she finally couldn't argue with her kindergarten teacher). My son didn't start talking till he was almost 3 and then it was dissertations of q's an a's. He'd been saving up.

Thanks Mand, Barry and I were just talking about this last night. I love these memories so very much.

Hugs,
Anna

Don't know if ya'll have polk berries there but my oldest son used to call them polka berries........stan

mand

Polka berries - bet you smiled every time he said that! Ha ha

As adults we often correct children when they pronounce something wrong - but I think it's worth leaving it for a while, cos they soon grown out of it and then it's gone. ( If that makes sense )

Thanks Stan, nice to see yah

Love to you and Susan.

If someone hasn't already - someone should write a book or long poem about it. It would be brilliant and what a good idea to capture the moment, put it to a poem and add it to a baby album!!

Thank you for coming by to read and comment.
