Three Little Words

Poem Body

Those three little words are stuck in the back of my throat.
I know it’s soon, but I feel it.
And I think you do too.
I feel dizzy, I feel sick.
I see visions of us riding off into the sunset
Like every cheesy romcom that I’ve made you watch.
I know I cannot say those three little words,
So instead I will hold you, kiss you, protect you.
I’ll tell you I am yours and you are mine
And it will be enough
Until I can say those three little words.

The below is a computer-generated response from Neo, Neopoet's computer artificial intelligence:

This poem effectively conveys the emotions and internal conflict of wanting to express love but feeling hesitant to do so. The imagery of riding off into the sunset and referencing cheesy romcoms adds a relatable and light-hearted touch to the piece. The repetition of "those three little words" emphasizes their significance and the struggle to articulate them. Consider exploring more specific details or sensory descriptions to further immerse the reader in the moment and enhance the emotional impact of the poem. Additionally, experimenting with varied line lengths or structures could create a more dynamic flow and add depth to the overall composition.

how happy I am to see your name pop up in the stream once more! What a BEAUTIFUL poem. My favorite lines are:

I feel dizzy, I feel sick.
I see visions of us riding off into the sunset

What a delightful poem about a blossoming young romance! I'm sure the subject feels the same <3
Thank you for sharing,
