Poem Body

He hears and sees, as I meander through
this world that needs be taken day by day.
For cognisance, he has the perfect view -
my deepest thoughts, to him, are on display.

He shadow escorts me throughout the dreams
where I am Home - it's both surreal and real -
where unconditional love feeds me, it seems.
I wake to find I have a new found zeal.

Conflicting the accepted paradigm
of seperate single conscience, seperate soul,
I know that part of his is part of mine
and, while I am awake, I am not whole.

About the Author

Favorite Poets: Favourite poets? So many, so varied. I like particular songs, not necessarily the singer... and the same goes for poetry. I can honestly say though, that Alfred Noyes' The Highwayman was what inspired my love of poetry - my mother began reading it to me when I was still a baby, and it became my favourite bedtime story

So good to read your work - two in one, without which life is not whole. The content of this poem is both powerful and comforting!

Thank you for sharing!

Glad you're back - you are a great teacher - on so many levels.

As usual dear Judy.
I liked the "sshadow escorts" expression. (New for me)
And I'd capitalize 'he' and 'his', (just my humble opinion)

Thank you for sharing dear.

I purposely didn't capitalise 'he / his'....
I didn't want to necessarily tie the subject to a deity, hoping it could be read in other ways as well
