Wasn't It A Lovely Rain?

Poem Body

It cooled the scarlet rosebud
soothed the lonely path

danced among the lily pods
gathered with the grass

bellowed above tin rooftops
perched with maple leaves

skipped along the river bank
paused beneath the trees

sang softly to the sidewalk
splashed in shallow mud

then, with one small breath, faded
silently into the sun

Ooooh this was lovely. I liked the way it flowed as if your words were rain. Fantastic peom I could feel every object the rain touched, beautiful, Ruby :)

Geezer

This one has all the right qualities to make it a solid poem. there is rhyme and near rhyme and it flows very well. Nicely done! ~ Geez.

It was lovely, lovely, lovely. And even more lovely. A soft, gentle but steady rain.
