This World of Ours Can Seem So Cold

Poem Body

How my heart can ache
For the lonely,
I’d like to comfort them all,
Hold them close
Until their sorrow goes,
This world of ours
Can seem so cold,
And some of us
Will end up alone,
And so low,
Longing for someone,
Forlorn souls,
Someone to save them,
Or someone to love them.

...is certainly common around Christmas, and especially with Covid, there has been so much of it this year. And of course, you can be surrounded by people, and have everything you ever wanted, and yet still feel alone. I'm so pleased I touch your heart, dear Teddy, thank you. Carl.

Hi Carl, this is indeed a sad poem, I hope you'll not be alone for Christmas? It's true, there are many homeless of all ages, we must try to help them as much as we are able. Gracy

...the sad tale of a lady, once quite famous and vibrantly attractive, who ended her life alone and abandoned by everyone, but it can happen to anyone, and is tragically widespread, there is no guarantee any of escape aloneness, and yes especially at this time of year, am fine right now, truly, thank you for asking, dear Gracy. Carl.
