Muscadines And Fine Wines

I'm still uncertain, my mission here
a lot to say, no one to hear
no one to care, the words I say
but expected to play their karmic games.

I have a lot to say, no one to care
a lot to give, a lot to share
no one to receive
the love I have to heal.

I live alone in my home
though not physically alone
I live my life in a zone
vibing distinctive tones.

I'm lost most of the time
like muscadines on a vine
left out in the sun to dry
never made fine wines.

A Converstion With Self ( Idle Time Poetry)

Okay do we know who we really are
I don't want to go there
what about who we want to be
We were there once and what became of that
truth always hiding
lurking in the mist
what you see is not what you get

Believe
believe in what
not what whom
all was destroyed years ago

TIMELINE( Idle time shop)

As I tried to drift asleep last night
I kept bumping into memories
of things like winter's cold sun light
and leaves falling in autumn's breeze,
and how all beginnings have an end.

I'd deal with one then once again
another would pop into mind
sometimes of places I have been
trees of a past now far behind
where a ridge dropped to a river's bend.

Truth Or Consequences... [Idle Time Workshop]

Shall I tell the truth
what would you like to hear?
I'll tell you a bedtime story
allay your greatest fear

The notion that the truth
is always better than a lie
It might be truth itself
but, even so, you'll cry

Why did you wait to ask me
what my intentions were?
Could it be you didn't care
while I was rubbing fur?

I don't want to cause you sorrow
or ruin the make-up on your eyes
Smear the blush or muss your hair
soooo just a little lie

A Trip to Jackson

O how I recall with joy a visit to Jackson, proud capital of Mississippi,
The land of the fearless fatties, the glorious land of the uber-obese,
A paradise enjoying amazingly high blood pressure and diabetes rates,
Thanks to the greed and gluttony of its 'proud-to-be-portly' inhabitants.
